New Things Have Come To Project Yoga Richmond
Local non-profit organization Project Yoga Richmond has announced a leadership change and moved up the roll-out of their newly available selection of virtual experiences amidst the current health advisory. Wellness educator Nitika Achalam has stepped into the Executive Director role during a vital time for the yoga community, and self-care for society as a whole. The pay-what-you-can model is dedicated to making yoga affordable and accessible, and now they are unveiling this concept to the world at large online.
Their selection of community programs are available to the public thanks to the passionate Project Yoga Ambassadors that lend their expertise to lead the sessions. With this new subscription based service connecting people with virtual classes these yogis have the opportunity to teach during a time when in person classes are not possible. With more than twenty mindful offerings available, Project Yoga Richmond has made this shift with the intention of continually adding filmed sessions that are well suited for facilitating at-home yoga practice.
With virtual communications and at home fitness at an all time high, new Executive Director Nitika Achalam immediately helped to advance the launch for the Project Yoga Richmond online streaming service via Patreon as her first major directive. She has been guiding yoga sessions since 1999 and has served on the board for Project Yoga Richmond since 2016. In addition to multiple Yogic Certifications Nitika has training and expertise in Anthropology, Botanical Arts & Energy Healing.
