Habitat for Humanity’s Harvest of Hope from Farm to Table Fundraiser

Hanover Habitat for Humanity “brings people together to build homes, communities and hope”.

If you would like an opportunity to give back to your community by supporting this vision in a unique (and delicious!) way, plan to attend their annual Harvest of Hope from Farm to Table fundraising dinner.  The event, presented by Union Bank & Trust, will take place on June 7, from 6 – 9pm. The four-course meal (provided by Eat Catering) will feature locally-grown ingredients, local wine, and live music by Kari Smith Music in a tranquil outdoor setting – Oakdale Farm (also known as Hanover Vegetable Farm) in Ashland, Virginia (13580 Ashland Rd, Ashland, VA 23005).  Seating is limited, and advanced purchase of tickets is required.

Visit Harvest of Hope or call (804) 569-6108 for more information and to purchase tickets.  Tickets are $75 per person, and table sponsorships (8 seats) are available.

River City Magazine staff writer Kari Smith is a Virginia native whose love of writing began as a child writing poems and songs. In 2006, she moved to Nashville, Tennessee for a decade to pursue her dream of recording her own original songs. Songwriting began as a way for her to express herself and document her journey. She continued on to pursue writing articles as a way to chronicle and share her personal adventures and interests. Besides teaching and performing music in the Richmond area, she also enjoys riding horses, Latin culture, and spending time outdoors and with her family.
